This track from Simoncino breezes through with some optimistic bits that allude to the art on the centre label but ultimately it’s not fooling anyone – it’s way more Music Box* than it is daiquiri spot. More bunker than beach. The bumping rubber bassline, the non-stop perc attack and the ever-present kick drum of the gods. “Trax I” really cooks but just not all that tropically. Get into it.
